Hockey is introduced to Djarragan College

As part of the partnership with Pass Australia, the remote hockey program delivered an introduction to hockey session at Djarragan College and targeted the vocation education trainees.

Over 30 Indigenous Trainees get Community Hockey Coaching Accreditation

Indigenous trainees from Djarragun College and Innisfail High School attended at Cairns Hockey on 17th March 2010 as part of the Remote Hockey education and training program.

Remote Hockey partners with AASC in Community Hockey Coaching at Karumba May 10th and 11th

A specifically designed Hockey Coach Training Course will be delivered in Karumba on Wednesday and Thursday 10th and 11th May 2010 in conjunction with Active After School Community Coaching This hockey course will support the development of the hockey program and will assist supporters of the program to understand the game and assist in local training

The remote and indigenous hockey program has modified and amended this training program to meet the needs of the the respective communities

50 Community Hockey Coaches have been trained in the Torres Strait Island Communities

As a result of a 2 week training schedule across the eastern and western Islands in the Torres Strait Island communities, 50 new hockey coaches have been trained to support the emerging hockey programs in the Torres Strait Islands
