Indigenous Games
Yulunga: Traditional Indigenous Games. Launched by the Australian Sports Commission in July 2008.
Yulunga* is a new online activity resource of over 100 traditional Indigenous games created to provide all Australians with an opportunity to learn about, appreciate and experience aspects of Indigenous culture.
Suitable for children and adults of all ages, abilities and backgrounds, Yulunga can be used in schools around Australia as an educational resource and as a guide to inclusive, structured sport within communities.
The link to the full Yulunga resource is available above. This page also contains four seperate resources containing games for specific age groups. Alternatively, the individual games are available on the Yulunga: individual games page.
*Yulunga means playing in the language of the Kamilaroi (Gamori) people of northern-western New South Wales
