Cross Cultural Awareness Training being delivered at Hockey Queensland Coaching State Conference
Billy Williams will be delivering cross cultural awareness training to all regional coaching directors and development officers who are attending the HQ State Coaching Confernce on 22/23 June 2010. This is part of the introduction and planning of Indigenous Pathway Support Programs being established through a partnership with Hockey Australia.
The program aims to encourage more indigenous people to play hockey in local communities and through mentor and specifically designed support programs encourage indigenous coaches to enter the representative pathways and support players looking to be selected in local representative teams and then enter the Qld system.
This cross cultural awareness training is the first step in this process which all parties beleive to be a positive step forward in hockey development within Queensland and Australia
