About the Course

The Remote Hockey Program compliments the Hockey Ed – National Coaching Program and looks to see how best we can deliver practical hockey coaching courses which relate to the facilities, environment, culture and language as well as the programs that will be developed in consultation with community representatives.

In many cases – these coaching courses need to be modified and specifically produced to ensure that the skills that are being taught and the coaches are being educated to be able to coach these skills taking into account the environment/facilities/ equipment and other factures such as culture and language.

• If you are looking to deliver some hockey skills as part of a Active After School Program
• If you would like to assist in some Hook in2 Hockey Clinics in your community – Then this is the Course you should look to do.
• Everything has been designed in simple terms
• Specially designed skills for remote communities
• Tips for getting young people involved that have never played before
• Copies of Games and Coaching Drills available as part of the Course
• Traditional Indigenous and Torres Strait Island Games are incorporated
