Development Camps
Talent Identification is very important in the pathway process within the Remote Program.
Each year the Program allocates budget monies with its program partners to undertake Development Camps to provide further and advanced skill development and availability to increased quality coaching.
These development camps may be regionally based or they can be held in provincial cities depending on program schedules and other activities.
Objectives of the Development Camps
- High Quality of Skill Development
- Access to Higher Quality Coaches
- Access to better quality facilities and equipment
- Workshops to education on nutrition and health
- Opportunities to be included in Regional teams and participate at State Championships
- Hockey Art and Culture Opportunities
The Program is working with Cairns Hockey and Townsville Hockey in an attempt to provide opportunities for young people to participate in under age competitions through these Development Camps.
