Umpiring and Officiating Training and Support
Umpiring and Officiating Programs using the national training - Hockey Ed can be designed to meet the unique needs of the remote and indigenous communities programs.
Youth Leadership Training Programs
The Australian Sports Commission will provide funding for the remote program to train young women and girls as part of vocation education program partnerships to increase leadership skills, self esteem and self worth and encourage greater skill development programs for young women within the remote hockey program
Hockey Queensland Nth Queensland Rubies part of the Indigenous Pathways Support Program
This Program is a partnership between Hockey Australia Inc and Hockey Queensland Remote and Indigenous Hockey Program designed to offer greater support and opportunities to indigenous players, coaches and umpires in their challenge to be selected in state and national programs. This is a 2 year pilot program which will include specialized training programs to identified players, coaching and umpiring scholarships and develop coach and athlete mentor programs to built internal support programs which will assist the athlete, coach or umpire to achieve their goals. We acknowledge the support of the Australian Sports Commission, Queensland Academy of Sport and Queensland Government for their ongoing commitment to the advancement of these programs. We also take the opportunity of acknowledging and recognizing the role of the Hockey Queensland Regional Coaching Network coaches to the future success of this program and look ahead to a new and exciting partnership which will build community capacity and capital through-out Queensland
