Karumba Hockey Program gaining momentum
Young people from all over the Gulf Savannah are getting ready to compete in the Karumba Festival of Sport. It looks like competition in the sport of hockey will be the best since it's inception.
Saturday afternoon sees 30 odd Karumba children cantered around the Recreational grounds enjoying Hockey. Kids split into three groups and participate in round robin activities that focussed on fun but designed to assist improving ball control skills, defensive moves and team cohesion. The skills of all children participating have improved immensely over the past few weeks and the continued interest and enthusiasm is great to witness.
Everyone including those adults who take to the park, gallop around chasing, laughing and learning for a couple of hours that culminates in a game at the end of the session which no one wants to end.
Karumba kids are having an enjoyable and rewarding lead up to the Festival of Sport. Go Karumba!!!
