It is anticipated up to 4 teams might be competing with 2 from the Gulf Savannah Development Squads selected at karumba Hockey Festival in 2008, 1 team travelling from Torres Strait and it is hoped a local Karumba Hockey team will particpate. There is much to do and general support is needed in all communities to ensure these type of opportunities become a success. The coordinators in Karumba and Gulf Savannah will be upgrading the Karumba Recreation Club and the program will be planned around a series of games and workshops.
