The partnerships with Active After School Communities program, Hockey Queensland Remote program and community supporters has strengthened with the delivery in Term 3 of the modified hockey program designed to offer new and exciting opportunities for learning new skills.

The Gulf Communities of Forsythe, Mount Surprise, Georgetown, Croydon, Normanton, Karumba and Burketown have committed to delivering the hockey program through the Active After School Communities Program and Hockey Queensland Remote Hockey Program.

It is estimated that over 130 young people will participate in the Term 3 Hockey Programs.

The young people will then highlight their hockey skills at the Karumba Festival of Sport to be conducted in the last week of the current term starting 15th September and concluding on the 17th September 2009.
