The competition will highlight the strengthening partnership between hockey and community in the Torres Strait with teams from Horn Island, Thursday Island, Bamaga and Badu Island participating. In 2009 Badu Island began delivering a hockey program and interest is high to become part of the Torres Strait Regional Hockey Competition. Remote Hockey Program will make presentations to Island communities of booklets and CD produced as part of the Q150 Project combining sport and Torres Strait Island culture and the Torres Strait Hockey Art will be exhibited at the carnival.
