Normanton State School played together in a strong example of team work and self belief and became the grade 4/5 champions in 2010.

In the space of 12 months, this Normanton State School Hockey team improved significantly which showed when they played the grand final against Georgetown.
The game resulted in only 1 goal difference but that was enough to make the members of this team the first players from Normanton to win at karumba.
