In an all Horn Island final - Garragar fought hard but could not get back the early goal scored by Eribu Miskin. Horn Island Stingers played their way into the final by heading a pool of teams including Thursday Island Heat, Northern Peninsula Area and a rival team Horn Island Papou. Clarke Creek Hockey Program

The Clarke Creek Primary School is part of a small remote community between Rockhampton and Mackay in North Queensland. This program is an example of how the Get Active Score Goals Play Hockey Program can be modified to meet the needs of local community. Hockey skills a highlight on day 1 of the 2011 Karumba Hockey Carnival

There is an overwhelming increase in the level of hockey skills and game sense at this years hockey competition. The strong community hockey coaching processes in addition to the partnership between Remote and Indigneous Hockey and AASC is supporting this advancement 13 teams are competing across 2 Divisions and CAIRNS SCHOOL OF DISTANCE ED is competing in the carnival providing students across the region with overwhelming oportunities
