HORN ISLAND STINGERS WIN MIGI KOKAN 2009
In an all Horn Island final - Garragar fought hard but could not get back the early goal scored by Eribu Miskin. Horn Island Stingers played their way into the final by heading a pool of teams including Thursday Island Heat, Northern Peninsula Area and a rival team Horn Island Papou. Garragar won the pool competing against teams from Badu Island, Sacred Heart - Thursday Island and Thursday Island Baidham

25 Talented Identified Young People have been named in the Torres Strait Island 2009 Hockey Development Squad. Young people from Badu Island, Northern Peninsula Area on the tip of Cape York, Horn Island and Thursday Island,

2010 Remote and Indigenous Youth Hockey Competition
This competition is part of the pathway to success program and invited teams participating in the program to come to cairns and compete and highlight hockey skills and tam building skills
Clarke Creek Hockey Program
The Clarke Creek Primary School is part of a small remote community between Rockhampton and Mackay in North Queensland. This program is an example of how the Get Active Score Goals Play Hockey Program can be modified to meet the needs of local community. The hockey program created in the Gulf Savannah communities of far north west Queensland is being adapted to encourage young people to learn new skills, become a team and compete in hocey activities that are healthy and fun
2010 Karumba Hockey Carnival
This competition brings together the communities in the Gulf Savannah and encourages young people to show off the skills they have been learning, work in a team enviroment and undertake healthy and fun hockey competition. Grade 4 and 5 compete in the Junior competition while Grade 6 and 7 are involved in the Senior competition
Gulf Hockey Program - Talent Identified Players
Attached is a squad of players selected from the 2010 karumba Hockey Competition. Discussions are unerway for the 2011 Program which may include regional club competition, inter regional challenges and pathways towards inclusion in mainstream hockey programs

In a hard fought battle that went to a penalty shoot out - Sacred Heart School Hockey Team overcame the defending title holders to win their first regional Hockey Title

Hockey skills a highlight on day 1 of the 2011 Karumba Hockey Carnival
There is an overwhelming increase in the level of hockey skills and game sense at this years hockey competition. The strong community hockey coaching processes in addition to the partnership between Remote and Indigneous Hockey and AASC is supporting this advancement 13 teams are competing across 2 Divisions and CAIRNS SCHOOL OF DISTANCE ED is competing in the carnival providing students across the region with overwhelming oportunities
