Gulf -v- Torres/Cape Hockey Challenge
This is a special intitiative strengthening the Remote Hockey Pathways to Opportunity Program. Identified young people within the Gulf Savannah and Cape/Torres Island Program will come together from 3rd-5th July 2008 in Karumba.

Details of games, workshops and community activities have been confirmed and set out in the attached schedule of events. This event is part of the North Queensland Games Foundation - Western Games.
Karumba Festival of Sport - Come along for all of the fun
Karumba School and Community will host the 2010 Festival of Sport 15th-17th September 2010. The Gulf Savannah Regional Hockey competition will be conducted in addition to the workshops and games deliver by the Active After School Communities.
Burketown win the Karumba Hockey Grade 6,7 for the first time
A hard fought final saw Burketown beat Karumba in one of the best games of hockey played at the festival. It took 2 sets of extra time drop offs and a set of one on one's to break the deadlock
Remote and Indigenous Youth Hockey Competition
This competition is part of the pathway to success program and invited teams participating in the program to come to cairns and compete and highlight hockey skills and tam building skills
GULF HOCKEY SQUAD NAMED FOR 2009-2010
A strong Gulf Hockey squad has been named to attend development camps in Cairns and to compete in the 2010 Hockey Queensland Remote Hockey Youth State Championships to be held on Horn Island Torres Strait in July next year.
Migi Kokan Competition Date - 20th November 2009
The 2nd annual Migi Kokan Hockey Competition is scheduled for Friday 20th November 2009 on Thursday Island Torres Strait.
HORN ISLAND STINGERS WIN MIGI KOKAN 2009
In an all Horn Island final - Garragar fought hard but could not get back the early goal scored by Eribu Miskin. Horn Island Stingers played their way into the final by heading a pool of teams including Thursday Island Heat, Northern Peninsula Area and a rival team Horn Island Papou. Garragar won the pool competing against teams from Badu Island, Sacred Heart - Thursday Island and Thursday Island Baidham
2009 Torres Strait Island Squad named
25 Talented Identified Young People have been named in the Torres Strait Island 2009 Hockey Development Squad. Young people from Badu Island, Northern Peninsula Area on the tip of Cape York, Horn Island and Thursday Island,
