Hockey Program a success at the Marian School - Townsville
A 7 week program in partnership with Active After School Communities Program, Marian School Outside School Hours Care, Smith Family and Lifeline was completed on the 15th June 2010 with over 60 young children from Prep to Grade 6 competing in a hockey competition
grades 4-6 with group and supporters
These young people showed off and highlighted their skills to their parents and each other in a solid reflection of the success of these community programs.
Townsville Hockey supported the Program by inviting 5 young Townsville players - all of whom represent Queensland to show the pathways and opportunities available.
Parents were invited to see the progress of the young people and they were keen to join in the modified games developed to enhance enjoyment.
This program is being developed as a pilot program towards Club Development opportunities for hockey clubs in Townsville.
Congratulations to every-one and we look forward to developing this program across Townsville and the Remote Program in the future.
