Holiday hockey Programs delivered in the Kowanyama and Pompauraw
In a partnership with Kids Living. Safe Lives, Wes Ferns will be delivering Hook in2 Hockey programs across the communities of Western Cape York. Hockey will follow with local consultations to develop and deliver hockey training programs across this region before the end of the year.
Hockey Programs begin in the Western Cape Communities
A series of hockey clinics and community hockey coaching courses will be delivered in Weipa and Napranum as part of the local hockey program support and ongoing program development will be discussed with inclusion in a regional competition with the NPA These hockey programs will begin in term 3 with coach training scheduled on the 29th July 2011.
Hook in2 Hockey comes to the Western Cape York Communities
Over 30 young people joined in and participated in the first ever Hook in2 Hockey program in the Western Cape. The young people embraced the skills and ended with small hockey games. PCYC and local community volunteers will continue the program locally supported by the remote and indigenous hockey program

Remote and Indigenous Hockey is joining Kids Living Safer Lives to deliver Vacation Care Holiday Programs in Wujul Wujul/Kownayma/Pompauraw and Bamaga.
Community Planning in Napranum and Weipa to advance Hockey Competition in Western Cape Communities
Wes Ferns - Remote and Indigenous Hockey Senior Development Officer will travel to Weipa and napranum on 24th and 25th October 2011 to undertake HOOK IN2 HOCKEY clinics and discuss with the local residents to assistance and support required to begin a local hockey competition
