Teams came together from 4 of the isolated and remote communities in the north west - Camooweal, Cloncurry, Djarra and Boulia to play a NO SCHOOL NO PLAY REGIONAL HOCKEY CHALLENGE on the 16th June 2011. Up to 100 young people travelled to be able to participate and highlight the new skills they are learning through the program.

On the 18th June 2011, Mount isa hosted a junior Hook in2Hockey Fun Day and saw up to 30 local young people who had been participating in regular hockey sessions eah week come together with their parents to show off their skills and engage parents in being involved in the next stage of the hockey development program.

These are all positive signs that this program can build over the next few years and offer exciting opportunities for adults and parents alike in hockey across the North West in particular Mount Isa.

A big thanks to all the volunteers and supporters on behalf of Mount Isa Hockey and the community of the North West in general.
