Yarrabah Community confirms attendance at 2011 Cairns Regional Competition

The 3 way partnership between Remote and Indigenous Hockey, Yarrabah PCYC and Yarrabah State School which delivers the Learn Lead Achieve Hockey Program will attend the 2011 Cairns Regional Hockey Competition in June 2011

The hockey program is delivering to Grade 8 and 9 students on a regular basis in the Yarrabah community by our Indigenous Hockey Development Officers. Programs specifically designed to meet the needs of the Yarrabah students which include issues of cultural sensitivity and issues highlighting and supporting increasing regular school attendances are included in the overall program.

We congratulate all involved and look forward to seeing the team compete in the upcoming competition
