Indigenous Students at Tropical North Queensland Tafe undertake hockey training at Cairns Hockey
The remote hockey program and cairns Tafe join together to encourage indigenous students studying community recreation and fitness to be introduced to hockey and encourage them to deliver hockey programs as part of the course training

Cairns Tafe and the Remote Hockey Program began their partnership over 4 years ago and assists in encouraging young indigenous students to be comfortable with the sport and include hockey as part of their training and deliver hockey programs as part of their assessments.
The Indigenous Trainees come from communities across Queensland and played a series of games as part of the training.
Remote Hockey look forward to a strengthening of relationships with Tafe as the 2010 program advances
