Torres Strait Islands Hockey Art Presentations as part of the Q150 Celebrations
A series of presentations highlighting a program of community engagement between Remote Hockey and Tagai Tafe - Torres Strait Islands Hockey Art will be made at the Migi Kokan Hockey carnival on 20th Nov 2009.

A booklet and CD highlighting the partnership between hockey and the community produced as part of the Q150 celebrations will be presented to representatives of Tagai Tafe, Tagai State College and the community at 10.30am on 20th November 2009 prior to the beginning of the Migi Kokan Hockey Carnival.
The presetation is the culmination of a project supported by the Q150 celebrations and is part of Remote Hockey's - where sport and culture combine.
The booklet and CD will also be presented to the Hockey Queensland Affiliated Hockey Associations at the Council meeting on 20th November 2009 in Brisbane with the view of increasing the knowlege and understanding of traditions, culture and the emerging hockey program in the Torres Strait Island communities.
Original artwork created by students from Tagai Tafe will be displayed in a celebration of the hockey program. This artwork will then be taken to Melbourne and displayed as part of the exhibition by the Remote Hockey highlighting Indigenous Hockey Programs at the 2009 Champions Trophy between 28th Nov - 4th Dec 2009.
