Hockey was part of a group of 3 sports who conducted clinics focusing on the benefits of activity, healthy eating and good behaviour as part of Minister Reeves visits to Arakun, Pompauraw and Kowanyama.
Remote Hockey Program and PCYC partner to deliver hockey programs in Arakun
The PCYC has begun delivering introduction to hockey clinics in the remote community of Arakun on the western coast of Cape York. The partnership will see the Remote Program support Stage 1 with equipment and skill development.
Remote Hockey program joins with AFL Cape York and QRL - Far North
The 3 sports joined together to conduct a 30 minute session at Pompauraw State School to highlight the benefits of healthy and active programs. Minister for Sport - The Hon Phil Reeve attended and highlighted the support the Queensland Government will be giving these programs.
School Students in Kowanyama experience hockey
Clinics were held in Kownayama as an introduction of a new opportunity as part of the overall program to highlight healthy eating habits, increasing physical activity and suporting good behaviour programs.
