Queensland Week 2011- Funding for an Event
Queensland Week is a special time for all Queenslanders to celebrate what's great about our State. Each year, a range of diverse activities are held that involve families, businesses, schools and a range of community groups throughout the State, each celebrating Queensland's people, places and achievements.
The Queensland Government invites you to get involved in Queensland Week 2011. Sponsorship between $2000 and $10 000 (excluding GST) per event is available for organisations and community groups to plan and host their own events between Queensland Week 2011, Saturday 4 and Monday 13 June. In addition to cash sponsorship, your event will receive marketing support as part of the 2011 Queensland Week program of events. All eligible applications will be assessed on the event's ability to align with the criteria of the Queensland Week sponsorship program. Types of community events which will be considered for sponsorship include: This list is not exhaustive and you are welcome to submit a proposal for a different type of event that fits within the criteria. Whichever form it takes, it must be community-focused and celebrate what's great about Queensland. It may also be an existing event or format that can be adapted into a true Queensland celebration. Applications are invited from legal entities such as incorporated associations, local governments, organisations and companies operating within Queensland.
