What is the Local Sport and Recreation Jobs Plan about? The Local Sport and Recreation Jobs Plan assists a cluster of local community organisations, councils, and build capacity of organisations through the employment of a Local Sport and Recreation Coordinator. Important dates Program opens: 1 April 2010 Organisations will be able to submit applications to the department throughout the year.
How much funding is available? The coordinator will provide services to a cluster of 5 to 7 (or more) sport, recreation or community clubs, council or school. Organisations will need to demonstrate their ability to contribute or to seek appropriate sources of financial support towards the ongoing costs of the position. Funding of up to $52,000 per annum for a maximum of three years is available to contribute towards the employment costs for a Local Sport and Recreation Coordinator for local communities.
