Community Benefits Fund - Qld
Gambling Community Benefit FundThe GCBF receives money from taxes on Golden Casket lotteries, wagering, keno and gaming machines. It distributes these funds to community projects on a quarterly basis. The GCBF is just one way the Government returns taxes received from gambling activities. In redistributing gambling taxes through its grants program, the GCBF plays an important role in ensuring, on balance, the whole State benefits from gambling in Queensland.
Reef Hotel Casino Community Benefit Fund
The RHCCBF receives money from taxes on casinos. It distributes these funds to community projects on a bi-annual basis. The RHCCBF is just one way the Government returns taxes from gambling activities. In redistributing gambling taxes through its grants program, the RHCCBF plays an important role in ensuring, on balance, the whole State benefits from gambling in Queensland.
Jupiters Casino Community Benefit Fund
The JCCBF receives money from taxes on casinos. It distributes these funds to community projects on a quarterly basis. The JCCBF is just one way the Government returns taxes from gambling activities. In redistributing gambling taxes through its grants program, the JCCBF plays an important role in ensuring, on balance, the whole State benefits from gambling in Queensland.
Local Sport and Recreation Jobs Plan - NOW OPEN
What is the Local Sport and Recreation Jobs Plan about? The Local Sport and Recreation Jobs Plan assists a cluster of local community organisations, councils, and build capacity of organisations through the employment of a Local Sport and Recreation Coordinator. Important dates Program opens: 1 April 2010 Organisations will be able to submit applications to the department throughout the year.

The Sport and Recreation Active Inclusion Program supports communities by providing funding for activities and education to increase access to sport and recreation, for individuals and groups facing barriers to participation within the community.

The Sport and Recreation Infrastructure Program provides contributions towards the development or construction of infrastructure for participation in structured and unstructured sport or recreation.
Children in Care Initiative
In response to community feedback about the funding criteria for the one-off funding (2010 calendar year) for sports registration for children in care, the Minister for Child Safety and Minister for Sport has approved amendments to eligibility for sport registration funding for children in care to allow: the provision of uniforms for children in care who participate in sport and recreation activity during the life of the funding program; participation in all sport and recreation activity by children in care including scouts, guides and cadets; and participation in swimming lessons by all children in care, with no restriction to the number of lessons as long as it is within the $300 funding limit.
Young Athlete Assistance Program - NOW OPEN
Program Objective Helping our kids to excel in sport This Program assists young athletes in Queensland who have competed at a State or State School Championship, National or National School Championship or International Championship.

Woolworths Community Grants
Since 2008, the Woolworths Fresh Food Kids Community Grants program has helped fund grassroots initiatives to improve the health and wellbeing of primary school aged kids across the country. This year, a total of $3 million is available and your organisation could be awarded a grant of up to $5,000 to help fund your project. Please note the result grant applications will be announced, and grant monies awarded, in July-August 2010.

Funding Opportunity for Young people in far North Queensland
I wanted to let you guys know about the Far North Queensland Youth Assistance Fund (FNQYAF). The Far North Queensland Youth Assistance Fund can provide grants for nominated young people under the age of 21 up to a maximum of $3,000 per individual to support, promote and encourage their artistic, educational or sporting potential. Students may re-apply each year until they reach 21. If they are 21 in the middle or end of the year they can apply that year as well. Past recipients have advised that the financial assistance really assisted. The grants focus on providing support and opportunity to young people who come from low socio economic backgrounds to give the assistance where its much needed. Young people located between Cardwell to Thursday Island and west towards Normanton can apply and there are many categories and grants available. Please go to www.fnqyaf.org.au for more information. The recent floods faced by a large part of Queensland have caused considerable damage to sport and recreation facilities and equipment across the state. To assist sport and recreation organisations, the Sport and Recreation Disaster Recovery Program supports not-for-profit sport and recreation organisations with relief efforts to re-establish their facilities and activities. This program provides funding to the eligible organisations that are within areas declared under the Queensland Government Natural Disaster Relief and Recovery Arrangements (NDRRA).

Youth Engagement Grants - funding available
State-wide funding of $200,000 per year over three years (2010-2013) is available from the Department of Communities to assist local governments and community organisations to facilitate regional youth engagement initiatives across Queensland. The grants will provide funds to organisations so they can run forums that increase awareness of issues relevant to young Queenslanders, and support youth-led projects addressing the young people’s needs raised in these forums.
