Come and See the Remote Hockey Exhibition at Champions Trophy Melbourne

Indigenous Design Hockey Sticks being used by Des Abbott in warm up - December 3rd 2009

Remote Hockey will be exhibiting information, resources and artwork to promote and highlight some of the more successful programs being delivered in far north Queensland remote and indigneous communities.

Information on Programs being delivered in

(a)   Gulf Savannah Region

(b)   Torres Strait Island Communities

(c)   Cairns and Surrounding Regions

will be displayed including orginal artwork and audio visual presentations.

The exhibit can be found at the Hockey Australia Game Development Area.

Merchandise on sale includes

(a)  Original Hockey Art

(b)  Merchandising T Shirts, Calendar and Postcards with unique indigenous designs representing the journey to become a Kookaburra.

Thursday 3rd December 2009 will highlight the significance of Indigenous and Torres Strait Island culture within the hockey communitiy.

The Kookaburra's will be wearing warm up shirts with the unique indignenous design and Des Abbott will highlight a hockey stick painted with indigenous images
